Umut Aytekin is the General Manager of Hepsiexpress, the last-mile subsidiary of Hepsiburada, the leading e-commerce company in Turkey.

Previously, Umut was Senior Director at MapR, a leading big data platform company where he is responsible for strategic worldwide alliances and channels based in the Silicon Valley. Prior to joining MapR, Umut spent 10 years as a management and strategy consultant advising senior executives on strategy, operations and technology at Booz Allen Hamilton, Booz & Company (now part of PWC) and Oliver Wyman. He holds Masters and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University and a BS from Middle East Technical University. He has been an advisor to technology start ups and is a frequent speaker and panelist on technology conferences.
